ABOUT ME

I am fortunate to experience the world as a rich tapestry of color, light, and texture.  When these three elements dance together my soul is singing.

My body of work encompasses painting, drawing, and stitching on repurposed surfaces. These surfaces have included discarded clothing, wood, brick, ceramic ware, and metal; materials often overlooked or abandoned. I am drawn to giving new life to what others have cast aside, allowing art to transform and reimagine each surface’s story. I work with a wide range of materials, including paint, pencil, and pastels. My style is loosely impressionistic, moving fluidly between objective and non-objective expression. If there is one word that best describes my work and my approach, it is ECLECTIC!

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture and Art. I hold a Masters  of Fine Arts in Art Education from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. I loved teaching high school art for 35 years.  I remain active in the art community by sharing my art in shows and teaching workshops.   I enjoy attending retreats and classes.  Being surrounded by creativity replenishes my spirit and soul.

Art is my voice and my passion. Through my work, I invite viewers to find beauty in the overlooked and to experience a sense of renewal, connection, and joy.
